1. Improving the Governing Structure

YRPG attaches great importance to managing the risks and opportunities associated with climate change. To better implement the ESG concept and integrate climate risk-related work into the daily operations of YRPG, we have established a three-tier climate change governing structure composed of the executive committee, the ESG office, and various business functional departments, with the chairman holding the highest responsibility for climate change affairs.

2. Accurate Identification of Risks and Opportunities

YRPG has conducted a comprehensive analysis and identification of external influencing factors, such as government planning and policies, and internal influencing factors, including operational characteristics and business plans, to identify climate change risks associated with YRPG. In response to these risks, we have developed strategies to seize development opportunities and reduce the potential risks and adverse impacts of climate change on the Group's business development and operational management.

3. Scientifically Formulating Carbon Reduction Strategies

YRPG has released a dual-carbon action plan that outlines seven annual carbon reduction initiatives. Based on the overall framework of "one standard, four phases, and five mechanisms," multiple measures have been implemented to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, expand the scope of carbon inventory, and provide solid data support for precise carbon reduction efforts.

4. Vigorously Developing Renewable Energy

In response to the national call for carbon reduction, further decrease on carbon emissions, and to promote the transformation to green production, YRPG officially launched a photovoltaic construction project in October 2023 with a total scale of 30 megawatts for phases I and II. The phase I project was completed in April 2024. The project adopts a photovoltaic application model of "self-generation for self-use and surplus electricity to the grid." It is expected to generate approximately 31.974 million KWH of electricity in the first year, accounting for about 10% of the Group's total electricity consumption in 2023. It is expected to reduce the Group's carbon dioxide emissions by 18,235 tons, significantly enhancing the Group's environmental benefits.

Climate Actions

1. Improving Management System and Regulations

YRPG adheres to the green development concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets." In daily production and operation, the Group strictly abides by the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" and other national and local laws, regulations, and policy guidelines on ecological and environmental protection, establishing a sound environmental management system. The Group has revised internal management regulations such as "Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Procedures" and "Soil Pollution Risk Investigation and Prevention Management Procedures." It has built a robust three-level environmental management framework to ensure the environmental compliance of production and operations, actively fulfilling corporate social responsibility and promoting the industry's sustainable development.

2. Strict Auditing and Outstanding Results

All manufacturing subsidiaries of the Group that have passed ISO 14001 will undergo an external annual surveillance audit once a year and an external recertification audit every three years. During the reporting period, 10 manufacturing subsidiaries underwent external audits, with no significant non-conformities found. 67 minor non-conformities were identified, and all issues have been rectified and closed out as planned.

3. Efficient Emissions Management

(1) Innovative Upgrades in Waste Gas Treatment: Subsidiaries are taking proactive measures to comprehensively upgrade the waste gas management system through facility and process optimization and equipment renewal, maintaining a 100% compliance record in emissions. The results of typical renovation projects have been significant.

(2) Refined Control of Wastewater Compliance: strict adherence to revised regulations and the implementation of comprehensive wastewater inspection requirements have led to a 100% compliance rate for wastewater discharge in 2023, with a density of 196.19 tons RMB per million. Each subsidiary has been optimizing wastewater treatment and reuse from multiple dimensions.

(3) Reduction and Resource Utilization of Waste: in accordance with regulations, guidelines have been established to instruct subsidiaries on source classification, process optimization, and recycling. The compliance rate for waste disposal is 100%. Many subsidiaries have implemented innovative practices to recycle and utilize waste, initiating the construction of a "Zero Waste Group," with anticipated significant economic and environmental benefits.

4. Strengthening Biodiversity Protection

The greening of the factory area and its surroundings is exceptional. Taking YRPG as an example, the greening area exceeds 456,000 square meters, with coverage of over 40% and more than 120 plant species. The beautiful environment of the industrial tourism area has received recognition, promoting harmony between humans and nature.

5. Optimizing Energy and Resource Management

(1) Mature Energy Management System: seven subsidiaries have obtained ISO 50001 certification, establishing a comprehensive energy management system that has yielded substantial energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing results. 2023, the comprehensive energy consumption intensity was 4.57 tons of standard coal RMB per million.

(2) Diverse and Innovative Energy-Saving Initiatives: through equipment and process optimization, the application of intelligent systems, and the promotion of lean production models, various approaches have been taken to save energy, reduce consumption, enhance efficiency, lower costs, and cut carbon emissions. The subsidiaries have achieved remarkable results through multiple concurrent initiatives.

(3) Efficient and Intensive Resource Utilization: significant achievements have been made in managing packaging materials and water resources. Management regulations for packaging materials have been developed, innovative designs and evaluations have been implemented, and a traceability system has been implemented to improve quality and reduce usage. In 2023, the density of packaging material usage was 2.70 tons RMB per million. Water-saving regulations have been formulated based on water laws, with water usage targets set and met. Subsidiaries have made notable progress in water reuse and concentrated water recovery technologies. Eight subsidiaries have received the honor of "Water-Saving Enterprises," with a water usage intensity of 337.71 tons RMB per million.
